About

I initially grew interest in photography while attending a small journalism school in Halifax, Nova Scotia . I was there because I wanted to be a radio DJ. The school was starting a newspaper and called all the students in for a meeting to ask who wants to do what position for the paper. After everything was handed out to all the eager ones, the last question was - “Now who wants to take the photos?” The room filled with an awkward silence, followed by a few lame jokes and giggles about paparazzi. Finally I said “Fine, I’ll do it. I need to go back to my project now!” and didn’t really think that I just made the best career move in my entire life.

 

Fast forward through years of photo and journalism schools and I am now working as an editorial and freelance photographer with eight years experience in Calgary, Alberta.

 

I have been on the edge of some of the wildest functions and also in the midst of some of the most boring affairs but what makes me thrive is seeking the best angles and light that make these events go from “OK, That looks pretty cool” to “Wow I can’t believe I missed that”.

 

I am passionate about creating a good image no matter what the conditions or challenges are.

 

I truly do love what I do and hope this road never ends.
